Senior Laboratory Technician/ Senior Technician MPL/ MSI
Contract : Permanent / Fixed Term
Hours : Full time/Part Time
Security Clearance, BPSS and DBS may be required.
We’re on the lookout for practical, detail-oriented individuals to join our dynamic team in Cambridge as a Senior Technician in our cutting-edge Environmental Laboratories. These labs are at the forefront of materials testing in challenging environments—including hydrogen sulphide, hydrogen, and other aggressive conditions. Your contributions will directly support innovative projects that push the boundaries of engineering and sustainability.
Collaborating with Project Engineers and fellow technicians to deliver bespoke materials testing.
Applying your engineering know-how to assemble machinery, solve practical problems, and ensure high-quality results.
A solid foundation in mechanical engineering and a keen eye for detail.
Experience with machinery assembly and hands-on problem solving.
Bonus points for knowledge of:
Gas chromatography
Instrumentation and materials testing machines
Data logging and analysis using Excel
Materials testing using servo hydraulic machines

Travel :
This position may require regular travel both in the UK and abroad.
