As part of the Firearms team you will provide proactive and reactive assistance in support of all operational officers and specialist departments by appropriate use of firearms skills in accordance with the National ARV role profile as described within the National Police Firearms Training Curriculum and to enhance officer and public safety. Training
Up to 5 weeks training depending on skillset and experience.
An offer of up to £8,000 relocation costs under the HMRC Scheme, plus a £1,000 Bonus Payment for Authorised Firearms Officers who successfully transfer to Staffordshire Police from another Home Office Force, supplemented by a further £750 Target Variable Payment which is paid in monthly instalments to the officer, falling in line with current AFO agreement. Please note there will be qualifying criteria for the relocation allowance**
Shift Pattern
Please see enclosed example of the shift patterns, the training is built into the pattern which negates any need for shift changes to accommodate training. The training days are 8 hours. Each 10-week cycles gives 5 full weekends off to maintain work life balance.
