You will be an energetic person who is passionate about building relationships in the local community. Alongside the GRIT Team, you will champion our services, events and campaigns to engage supporters.

Your expertise and insights will be instrumental in identifying new opportunities, nurturing supporter relationships, and creating stewardship journeys aimed at increasing the average gift and lifetime value of supporters across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and ensuring all our GRIT supporters receive the best possible experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and ongoing review of GRIT’s fundraising strategy.
  • Lead on multiple fundraising efforts and workstreams to actuate the fundraising strategy.

  • Prepare and present fundraising reports to management.
  • Where necessary train and supervise fundraising volunteers.

There are some skills, experiences, and ways of working which we feel are essential to thrive in the role:

  • Have previous experience in planning and delivering projects as well as confidence in presenting to a variety of audiences.
  • You know about best practice in fundraising and where to find advice on regulations.
  • Building relationships comes as second nature to you.
  • You are comfortable enough with figures to be able to manage budgets and work out ROI.
  • Great at multi- tasking, prioritising, time management and project management.
  • An interest, understanding or experience (whether personal, voluntary, or professional) in young people’s mental health, will of course, be an added advantage.

This job description is not intended as an indication of the full and detailed range of duties that may be undertaken by the post holder. It will be continually reviewed and developed to reflect the changing needs of the service.
