They offer a diverse range of services, including commercial real estate investment loans, trading loans, real-time multi-currency payments, and more. With a strong presence in the financial services industry, they are a trusted partner for over 200 leading fintech companies, helping them serve millions of customers across the UK and Europe.
After securing their UK banking license last year, they are now looking to provide direct-to-consumer services. As part of this initiative, they are building a UK mobile engineering team from scratch.
They are seeking a Senior and a Mid-level Android Developer to join the team and work under an extremely experienced VP of Engineering with a background in mobile engineering.
Responsibilities for the Mid & Senior Android Developer | Fintech, International Bank | Up to £80,000 | London Hybrid (2 Days):
- Lead the development and maintenance of our Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high responsiveness and quality.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and incorporate best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver a superior user experience.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application performance and reliability.
Requirements for the Mid & Senior Android Developer | Fintech, International Bank | Up to £80,000 | London Hybrid (2 Days):
- Proven experience in Android development using Kotlin.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose Libraries.
- Strong understanding of the Android SDK.
- Experience with APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Knowledge of modern mobile architectures such as MVVM, MVP, or MVI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
