Leo Recruitment is seeking an Android Developer on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (open to negotiation on length of contract) to help build a cutting-edge fintech service designed specifically for the world of yacht and superyacht owners – a niche market with few competitors where there are on course to becoming the market leader in this sector

Salary & Benefits:


  • 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract with a competitive annual salary up to £60,000 depending on skills and experience

  • Two-way flexibility, allowing you to prioritise family, friends, hobbies, and other commitments

The Role: Android Engineer


  • As an Android Engineer, you will develop and maintain efficient Android applications using Kotlin, leveraging the latest Android SDK features.
  • You will implement dependency injection with HILT to manage scalability and maintainability.
  • You will build dynamic and responsive user interfaces with Jetpack Compose and ensure robustness through comprehensive testing.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive product while optimising performance to enhance user experience.
  • You will contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and stay up-to-date with the latest Android technologies to ensure the app remains cutting-edge.


To Be Successful:


  • You will need at least 5 years of experience in Android development with a solid background in building and maintaining Android applications.
  • You should be proficient in Kotlin and have familiarity with Java, as well as hands-on experience with HILT for dependency injection.
  • You’ll need strong experience with Jetpack Compose for building complex UIs and testing frameworks like JUnit, Espresso, or Mockito.
  • You should be skilled in API integration, version control (Git), and Android architecture patterns like MVVM.
  • You will need strong problem-solving abilities, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.


Location: Fully remote from anywhere in the UK.


Working Hours: The company operates a fully flexible working approach, but you will need to show commitment to the role, especially during the early phase of development.
