Principal Data Consultant

A Principal Data Consultant is required by a dynamic and world-leading data consultancy who are experts in data-driven transformation.

The Role

This client-facing, strategic data consulting role will see you lead and drive a small team to deliver high-impact data initiatives for clients.

You will work across a range of different client projects spanning Data Strategy formation, Data Maturity Assessments, Literacy Initiatives and Governance Programs as well as more technical analytics projects.

Day-to-day you will act as the client’s main point of contact, lead workshops with senior stakeholders, define the scope of work and manage the project plan. You will be responsible for overseeing a range of exciting delivery and advisory projects for organisations looking to transform their data and improve their data literacy and maturity, providing them with a data strategy and roadmap for transformation as well as presenting innovative solutions to their toughest data challenges.

This is a varied and interesting role where you will utilise your broad and deep knowledge of data, analysis, data strategy and insights to help harness solutions, solve problems and guide the team. The need is very much for a do-er… not a ‘thought leader’.

What will you need?

To be considered you will have a strong background in delivering complex strategic Data projects across the full lifecycle, ideally within a consultancy environment where you can evidence success on a range of different data strategy, advisory and analytics-type client projects.

You will have experience in creating a Data Strategy and will be highly familiar with data maturity assessments, data vision generation, use case & value mapping and data literacy.

You will bring a real passion for data and must have excellent communication and presentation skills up to CxO level, with the ability to build relationships to a trusted advisor level. Experience in developing and delivering successful proposals, presentations or bids is also required and you must be a self-starter who can direct, lead, and take ownership of projects and teams, guiding them to achieve goals and objectives.

Location and Benefits

This is a hybrid role which offers the flexibility to work remotely but weekly visits to the offices in London will be required (c2-3 times per week).
