The Category Manager will play a key role in shaping the success of the food category by developing strategies that enhance sales, market share, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of category management in the FMCG sector, and a proven ability to drive category growth through data-driven decision-making and innovative strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building strong relationships with key customers to enhance category performance and drive category growth.
- Using consumer insights and market trends to influence range plans, pricing, and promotional strategies during category reviews.
- Providing detailed analysis on category performance, identifying growth opportunities, and recommending actionable improvements.
- Offering analytical support in the development and execution of category strategies that drive sales, profitability, and market share.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to align category plans and overall brand growth.
- Working closely with the internal team to optimise in-store execution, including shelf space, planograms, and product placement.
About You:
- Experience in category management or insights within an FMCG company or leading agency (e.g., IRI, Kantar, Nielsen, Dunnhumby).
- Strong ability to use market data and consumer insights to drive category decisions and growth.
- Proven skills in translating data into actionable strategies that boost sales and market share.
- Ambition to grow in a full Category Manager role within a dynamic FMCG company.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve category goals.
