Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Senior Events Manager, this role is responsible for developing and executing an events calendar that effectively builds Ocorian’s presence across Ocorian’s five market segments: Capital Markets; Corporate; Fund Services; Private Client; and Regulatory, Compliance and Legal.

Event types include a significant number of third-party trade shows and conferences as well Ocorian hosted events (client reception and events/product/service launches). The role holder will also be responsible for supporting Ocorian’s sponsorship awards strategy.

Events will be focussed across our key buying centres includingLondon, New York, Luxembourg and the Middle East.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Event strategy and planning

Supporting, developing and executing an events strategy that is aligned with Ocorian’s global commercial and brand objectives

Supporting and establishing and implementing an events process that maximises ROI from events (hosted or attended) through appropriate planning, budgeting, targeting, logistics and follow up

Attending and managing event on the day,where required, to ensure they run smoothly

Updating and maintaining the global event calendar and planner

Communicating event briefs with internal stakeholders

Researching and registering third party conferences inline with the events strategy and competitor visibility in the industry

Ensuring Ocorian are well represented across all events with marketing collateral and merchandise

Event management

Project co-ordination of all events undertaken by Ocorian

In collaboration with local business development (BD) support, establishing event objectives and setting revenue goals prior to the event

Working with BD support, sales and marketing to target effectively prior to the event

Working with Marketing to ensure the correct materials and collateral are available for the event

Throughout the event ensuring that all sales people are effectively undertaking BD activities

Maximising effectiveness of events through proactive content production before / during / after key events

Ensuring effective follow up is undertaken by sales and BD support teams

Monitoring and reporting on ROI

Reporting

Positioning events strategy and effectiveness to CCO and other senior management

Producing event reports (including financial planning) to be included in CCO reporting to the board

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

At least 2-3years marketing and events experience

Excellent Microsoft office skills

The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Outstanding commercial and business awareness

Ability to set business targets, timelines, plans and financial targets

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience in SalesForce, Asana and Hubspot preferred

Impeccable organisational, prioritisation and planning skills

Good knowledge of budgeting
