Do you want to oversee one of the most sophisticated veterinary practices in Nottingham?

Compass Associates area proud to be working alongside a first opinion, veterinary practice near Nottingham to help them in their search for a new Clinical Lead Surgeon.

The Clinic:

As well as all the usual bells and whistles you'd want in a modern, small animal practice like large theatres, consult rooms and staff space, we have all sorts of additional bits for you to use. Our diagnostic equipment is extraordinary with echocardiography capabilities; we perform a variety of orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries and have large, spacious ward space.

Clinically, you will manage your own case load of first opinion work on small animals. Patient pathway from consultations, diagnostics, medication and (if need be) surgery will all fall under your remit. As this is a lead role, you will also be managing the veterinary team and supporting RVNs as they complete schedule 3 procedures. Dedicated time for 1-2-1s and closely supporting our practice owners in meeting commercial targets are also a big part of this role.

This is a full time, permanent role where some sole charge will be required on our Saturday mornings.

To apply, you will need to be a RCVS accredited veterinary surgeon; You will need to be confident in all areas of general practice, including surgeries, diagnostics, and consultations.

The most important thing for us is personality: we need a Vet who can quickly build rapport with clients and help develop graduates with ease in order to fit in with ease. Knowledge of P&L, staff management and growth planning are a big plus.
