Job Title: Junior Installation Project Engineer
Our client is the acknowledged leader in perimeter security equipment, including automatic Gates, Barriers, Bollards and Roadblockers. With around 100 staff based at their headquarters in West Sussex they provide a complete range of services including design, site surveys, manufacture, installation, civil and electrical services, maintenance, spares, repair or refurbishment and full project management, all backed up by a fully comprehensive customer service programme.
As a Junior Installation Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and installation of small-scale projects, including barriers, turnstiles, and roadblockers. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously, many of which involve high-profile clients. Excellent communication skills are paramount, as you will be the primary point of contact, interfacing with individuals ranging from Company Directors to Civil Contractors.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, progression, and installation of small projects.
# Develop and maintain relationships with high-profile clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
# Manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results under time pressure.
# Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
# Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
# Address and resolve issues efficiently, accurately, and methodically, maintaining a focus on project goals.
# Commercial Awareness: Develop a balance between technical understanding and commercial considerations.
# Training: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
Proficient in using computers; CAD experience is advantageous.
Minimum of a 2:2 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Full UK driving license.
The role is full time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday.
