You will be working within the Cardiff region at one of their children's and young persons residential settings. They have a firm belief that every child and young person, no matter their ability or situation, deserve to enjoy engaging activities with other young people all while receiving expert care and attention. They champion fairness and, together, they work with communities to offer the best service they can to those who really need it. Supporting children aged 6 - 18 with emotional behaviour disorder and/or complex needs in one of 3 active services in Cardiff
To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
Ensuring an inclusive and fair environment for a diversity of backgrounds/ situations/ abilities
Adhering to strict health and safety practice to ensure the wellbeing of the children and young people
Building rapport and empowering the children and young people to reach their potential
Building rapport and good relationships with the families
Adopting a child-centred approach to provide the best care to children and young people with complex health / emotional needs
Child-centred approach to care
Previous experience within children's social care or transferrable skill role is desirable.
Full UK driving licence
NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care is desirable, but you do have the option to work towards it.
Basic understanding of children's human rights and safeguarding is essential.
37 hours per week full-time role
30% enhancement on hourly rate after 8pm on weekdays
50% enhancement on hourly rate on weekends
Sleep in Allowance
