Jira Product Discovery is one of Atlassian's most exciting new products. Jira Product Discovery helps teams capture, refine and prioritise ideas so they can build what matters.

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to support us in our mission to build the product team's home for discovery. This is a unique opportunity to to work on an early stage, fast-growing product. You'll have end-to-end ownership of challenging design projects - from research all the way to final execution and validation - and help shape the future of the product. You'll work in an agile team, operating with the autonomy of a startup but with access to the resources and scale of a Fortune 100 company.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Designer you'll be part of the Jira Product Discovery design team, working along side our product and engineering teams to build new features and improve the current product experience. In this role you'll be driving complex and high-impact design projects requiring a broad set of skills.

Qualifications

Your background

  • 5+ years of professional UX/product design experience, ideally designing complex or enterprise-level software or building SaaS products
  • Background in interaction design, systems design, front-end development, or enterprise design of large-scale where a design system has been applied
  • Ability to drive a user-centred design process to tackle complex customer problems
  • Strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, solicit and synthesise feedback, and facilitate design discussions
  • Flexibility and openness to the iterative design process - constantly sketching, showing work in progress, validating with customers and data, iterating, shipping, learning, and growing.
  • Experience with conducting and applying customer research, including design thinking, prototyping, and conceptual modelling
