At AugustX, we advise technology leadership teams on successions, transitions and acquisitions. Our healthtech & lifesciences technology practice is retained for one of the fastest growing Digital transformation firms in Healthcare across the UK&I. To capitalise on this growth, they are seeking a Business Development Director across Life Sciences, Biopharma and Public Health Research. This is a high-impact role owning strategy, client development and multi-7-figure sales performance. What You'll Do Lead the sales strategy for Life Sciences, grow existing Public Health Research accounts and break into Biopharma. Win new business through proactive outreach and tailored value propositions. Build trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders. Lead end to end RFPs, bids and commercial negotiations. Maintain a strong, accurate pipeline and consistently deliver against targets. Represent the organisation at industry events and position us as a sector leader. Mentor colleagues and support the development of sales excellence. What You'll Bring Knowledge of Public Health Research and Life Sciences challenges. Strong network with Director and C-suite stakeholders. Proven success selling digital services (UCD, Agile, Cloud, Data/AI) into clinical research. Experience leading multi-million pound campaigns. Strong commercial acumen with ability to build and negotiate complex deals. Track record delivering £5m–£10m per year in digital transformation/services sales. Broad understanding of digital transformation, data and AI trends. Valuable Additional Experience Experience with public sector procurement. Exposure to Genomics England, NIHR, UK Biobank or Our Future Health. Understanding of Secure Data Environments (SDEs). Experience applying AI in Life Sciences or Public Health Research. Knowledge of the clinical research lifecycle and digital innovation opportunities.
