Head of Regulatory Engagement

The Regulatory Engagement team has overall responsibility for managing engagement with DCC’s regulatory stakeholders (Ofgem, DESNZ, Ofcom and DSIT) and helping to shape DCC’s regulatory framework.
Develop a strategy for engagement and influencing of regulatory stakeholder in support of delivery of DCC’s wider business strategy and growth ambitions.
Plan and implement a plan of engagement in support of shaping DCC’s existing and future regulatory framework, working closely with other areas in the business.
Build a deep understanding of DCC’s regulatory stakeholders, and the individuals within these to help DCC shape and influence in key identified areas.
Identify, track, and respond to relevant policy and regulatory consultations in order to influence the external environment.
Ensure DCC’s senior leadership team are informed of key stakeholder issues and that emerging themes are identified and reported, including via briefings for key meetings.
Establish clear goals and objectives for the Regulatory Engagement team and motivate and support the team in achieving them.
Manage engagements with key individuals in Government, Regulators and influence the decision making for regulatory issues in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
Proven track record of building relationships and collaborating across organisations.
Experience in horizon scanning policy landscapes and analysing change and interpreting what that means for an organisation.
Ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders.
Experience with Executive and Board level interaction.
