Finance Business Partner

We are currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Education FM team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our Brighton University contract. This role is focused on commercial activities, providing support to contract managers and operational teams.
As a trusted Finance Business Partner, you will report to the Director of the Contract you will work diligently on large Cost Control projects , ensuring full end-to-end accountability for the contract. Your role will encompass producing the monthly management accounts and enhancing Management Information and Reporting as needed. You will be expected to collaborate with operational and contract teams allows you to provide valuable financial advice where necessary.
You will meticulously review contract profitability, identifying both high and low margin contracts for discussion with relevant operational and commercial managers. Additionally, you will contribute to the delivery of detailed rolling forecasts and the annual budget, ready for presentation to senior management.
You will be expected to show commitment to ensuring timely and accurate project completion, maintaining the financial health of these contracts with integrity and precision. Your support extends to offshore functions, and you will work closely with teams to ensure accurate billing, efficient payroll reporting, and continuous improvements in working capital.
An ideal candidate for this role would be Qualified in professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or CIPFA. Commercial experience is a plus. Additionally,you should have experience managing a team of direct reports and you should possess advanced Excel skills and demonstrate influential and motivational leadership capabilities.. Effective communication skills, especially when presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, are essential. Lastly, you should excel at producing concise and informative reports even under pressure.
