An in-house opportunity is available for a fund formation lawyer to join a leading global private investment firm in London.

They have AUM of over US$150bn managed or advised in Europe, the US and Asia and manage funds through five pillars of investment expertise: Fund of Funds, Direct Funds, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Debt.

An opportunity presents for a lawyer to join the team in Mayfair, with a minimum of 3PQE. Hybrid working is supported with the expectation of at least 3 days spent in the office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • providing legal support on the creation, structuring and management of funds (including UK limited partnerships and Luxembourg structures), preparing and drafting relevant fund documentation.
  • contributing to negotiations with external investors.
  • playing an active and front role in technical projects of the different platforms managed from the UK (currency and securitization vehicles, semi liquid and evergreen products, etc.),
  • playing an active and front role in the setting up and negotiations of Mandates/SMAs as well as other dedicated structures (advisory/IMAs, dedicated vehicles, etc.).
  • collaborating with and providing legal support to other departments.
  • monitoring regulatory developments.

The successful candidate will be a UK qualified lawyer with experience and significant exposure to private equity funds, gained either from a leading law firm or in-house.
