Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled Private Equity Lawyer to join their esteemed team in London. This role is suitable for lawyers ranging from Newly Qualified (NQ) to those with up to seven years of post-qualification experience (PQE). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex and high-profile private equity transactions under the guidance of experienced partners.




Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on private equity transactions, including fund formation, acquisitions, and exits.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents such as investment agreements, shareholder agreements, and purchase agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex private equity issues, including regulatory compliance and due diligence.
  • Liaise with clients, investment managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate transaction execution and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in due diligence processes and review legal documentation to identify potential risks and issues.
  • Stay updated on developments in private equity law and market trends, and provide insights and recommendations to clients.




Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer admitted to practice law in England and Wales.
  • Newly Qualified (NQ) to seven years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in private equity law, gained at a reputable law firm or financial institution.
  • Strong academic background, with a law degree from a reputable institution.
  • Excellent knowledge of private equity transactions, including fund structures and investment vehicles.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, both independently and as part of a team.
