Our client is a well-established and growing temporary works engineering consultancy based in the UK. designs for hoardings, propping and shoring, crane, hoist pads, pile mat designs, sheet piling, excavations, falsework, formwork, demolition temporary works and designs for rail engineering.
They are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with specific experience in the construction temporary works field. You will be given the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the further growth of the business, providing the opportunity for promotion based on ability and merit.
The role can be home based or at one of their UK offices and working times can be flexible around employees lives.
Design engineering solutions for a range of standard, complex and bespoke projects
Provide support to our engineering teams nationwide with design, design checking and draughting
Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations and reports
Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments
Maintenance of project documentation records
Building lasting relationships with clients based on understanding and service
Work individually on smaller projects, or as part of a team on larger more complex projects
Handle multiple projects at any one timeThe Candidate
Strong background and proven track record in temporary works design for large scale projects
IT literate
Ability to use drawing software such as AutoCAD
Experience using 3D/2D structural analysis programmes
Experience working with specialist contractors and main contractorsSalary and Benefits
