This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a pilot project across 9 womens prisons supporting women with their family ties 3 months pre-release and a minimum of two weeks post-release; linking them into ongoing provision within the community.
As a Family Resettlement Worker, you will lead and deliver a service that ensures prisoners, their children, carers and other relatives have access to appropriate advice, guidance, learning opportunities, care and support to better enable them to maintain or enhance positive relationships
You will co-design a person-centred Relationship Care Plan with women accessing support, enabling you to support them to address their family and relationship needs as they prepare for release. The role will combine a casework- based approach with delivery of programmes and courses, along with a signposting and advice service for the women in custody and their families.
You will build strong relationships with Probation Practitioners to ensure referrals to further family support via the Probation Womens Services providers are made pre-release to support a seamless handover. This, together with referrals to wider partner organisations in the community, will ensure additional support needs are addressed post-release and continuity of support exists.

* To be successful in this role you will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with families in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.
You will have the ability to develop referral pathways for families, prisoners and other professionals to access the service and ensure effective support for women post-release.
A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential.
