We are looking for a dynamic Sales and Events Manager to join our team and contribute to the growth of our events business.

Job Description:

As the Sales and Events Manager , you will play a crucial role in driving the sales and event coordination for Unity Place. You will work closely with clients to design bespoke events, from initial consultation to successful execution. You will also be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing event budgets, and leading a team of event coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Management:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
    • Generate leads through networking, outreach, and participation in trade shows or industry events.
    • Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients, ensuring profitability and alignment with company goals.
    • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for event bookings.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, from initial inquiries to post-event follow-ups.
    • Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue setup, catering, AV equipment, staffing, and guest management.
    • Ensure all events run smoothly, managing any issues that arise during the event.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of event coordinators to ensure high standards of service and operational efficiency.
    • Provide training and development to junior staff to enhance their skills in event management and customer service.
  • Budget and Financial Management:
    • Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are cost-effective while meeting client expectations.
    • Ensure timely billing and payment collection from clients.
  • Marketing & Promotion:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies to increase bookings.
    • Oversee social media and website content related to events at Unity Place.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in event sales and management, ideally in a hospitality or venue setting.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate a team.
  • A passion for providing outstanding customer service and delivering exceptional events.
  • Proficiency with event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with high-profile or large-scale events.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting.
