Manager of Centre for Doctoral Training in Data-Centric Engineering

The purpose of this role is to lead, coordinate and manage the Centre for Doctoral Training Data Centric Engineering. This CDT focuses on providing ongoing support to PhD students from non-academic backgrounds, either those who have been working in industry or those who have not been in education for more than 3 years. The postholder will collect quantitative and qualitative data from the CDT and national benchmarks, and work with the leadership team to produce annual reports, present them to the governance boards of the CDT, and disseminate to relevant national organisations e.g. UKRI, Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society.
Applicants should have experience of working in Higher Education including direct experience of postgraduate research student administration.
Working knowledge of Widening Participation drivers in UK higher education, experience of providing high level student support in an academic environment and experience of working with industrial partners in an academic setting is essential.
