Meet the team:As a product team, our goal is to improve the life of our students and our tutors, drive amazing learning outcomes for our learners and enable our tutors to financially thrive through the platform. As a Product Manager focused on AI, you will be joining the Learning tribe. Our mission is to build a Tutor-led, AI-assisted learning experience rooted in repetition, which drives engagement and retention to the platform and enables learners to achieve their goals.
What you’ll be doing:You will be delivering against a key part of our Preply’s AI strategic plan by creating the strategy and leading the execution of our AI-powered self-learning solutions. You'll collaborate with designers, education experts, and data scientists to develop high-quality, mobile-first personalized learning solutions powered by natural language processing. Beyond making the experience effective, you will ensure a high level of engagement by using proven and relevant gamification elements. Through bold thinking, continuous improvements and quick feedback loops, you'll ensure timely delivery of innovations in the product experience.
- Step-change the Preply self-learning proposition by focusing on the most important user needs to solve and building delightful experiences to help learners succeed.
- Leverage GenAI technologies to design learning tools that cater to specific learning objectives, making the learning process more efficient and effective .
- Utilize motivation hooks and gamification tactics to ensure learners are engaged and excited about the ongoing experience.
- Be a subject matter expert and thought leader on AI technologies and their applications in education, constantly exploring new opportunities to enhance learning experiences through innovation.
- Build empathy for our tutors & learners : Talk to our tutors & learners to understand their deepest problems and needs. Combine that with market research to identify areas of growth and opportunity.
- Be an owner: Own features end-to-end including defining product requirements based on deep customer empathy, driving execution, making thoughtful product decisions and sharing insights and results throughout the company.
- Be biased for action: Balance strategy and developing conviction with quick and lean hypotheses testing to launch MVPs and iterate based on usage and feedback.
- Be data driven: Analyze and make nuanced use of data through our in-house tools to evaluate the business impact of new features and experiences.
- Be a leader : Inspire the team with a vision and work cross-functionally to bring the product to life. Become an authority on your product area and identify areas of opportunity through deep customer insight, research, and data
- What this role is not: We are not looking for incremental thinkers or individuals who want a script to deliver against. We expect the successful candidate to truly empathize with our tutors and learners and to challenge the status quo to completely re-imagine the experience for them.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to thrive in a startup environment
- Substantial experience building consumer-facing, mobile-first products that have ongoing and frequent use, for example habit-forming products (gamification)
- Keen eye for design and desire to create loveable experiences
- Appreciation for building deep customer empathy as a critical lever to guiding product strategy
- Strong analytical abilities demonstrated by understanding and appreciation of data
- Experience building a product in a fast-paced, and rapid growth environment
- Ability to support multiple initiatives at different phases of development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. You know how to influence people to get things done across any job function.
- Experience in being a hands-on leader to drive results both through direct product development and through strong end-to-end thinking and execution
