If so, Oxbow Resourcing are on the lookout for a motivated Compliance Officer to join our client who are a challenger bank on a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) and play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Established in 2007, this is not your average bank – they are a challenger bank operating under Shariah principles. With offices in London, Milton Keynes, and Wilmslow, they offer a range of personal and corporate savings products, along with financing for UK residential properties. Plus, they are passionate about sourcing and advising on UK real estate investments.

As Compliance Officer (FTC), you'll work very closely with the Head of Compliance to oversee the operational environment, providing advisory support and conducting compliance monitoring reviews. You'll be a key player in the second line of defence, ensuring they uphold regulatory compliance across the board.
Collaborate closely with the Head of Compliance to shape the compliance strategy and monitoring plan.
Provide insightful recommendations on regulatory risks and potential challenges.
Compile and validate Management Information (MI) for compliance reporting to senior management.
Investigate referrals to the Compliance Team, offering guidance on various compliance matters.
Stay ahead of the curve by scanning the regulatory horizon for potential impacts on the bank.
Conduct compliance monitoring reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Assist in maintaining Anti-Money Laundering (AML) obligations and identifying financial crime risks.
Advanced understanding of home purchase plan products and unregulated home finance business.
Sharp risk awareness with the ability to propose effective solutions.
A keen eye for regulatory standards and compliance frameworks.
Excellent business report writing and presentation skills.
