If so, we are looking for a Performance Manager to join our Business Services team who will be responsible for leading a Trust-wide Business Service function that provides a sustainable approach to healthcare business delivery, contract and performance management.

Main duties of the jobThe Performance Manager will oversee portfolio business performance activities within the Trust, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services.
They will serve as the primary contact for Directors and the Senior Management Team, fostering relationships with external partners and commissioners.
Responsibilities include on a daily basis will include;
- Monitoring and reporting on performance
- Supporting business planning
- Contributing to the Trust's Performance Management Framework
The role demands expertise in data collection, analysis, and interpretation, supporting in the understanding and communication of complex performance matters.
The Performance Manager will also engage in business communication and ensure adherence to Trust policies and regulations, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and equality.

The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient delivery of business performance activities in the Trust.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will take responsibility for ensuring that Directorates have access to accurate, timely and appropriate information at all levels and will support the roll out and implementation of Ward to Board and vice versa performance management approach across the Trust.
The post holder will also act as the principal point of contact for Directors and Senior Management Team and develop strong and effective relationships with external commissioners and partners.
Working closely with colleagues in all areas of the Performance & Information Team developing skill and understanding of data collection and reporting, analysis and interpretation.
The post holder will make a significant contribution to the Trust Performance Management Framework and play a key role in a challenging and rapidly changing environment.
Person Specification Qualifications- Postgraduate or equivalent professional training qualification or equivalent experience
- Information analysis and management related qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of operational business issues within the health and broader public sector community.
- Ability to collate and analyse information and produce concise reports and presentations for a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences
- Significant NHS or public sector business knowledge and an in-depth understanding of how services work and their information and performance needs
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of operational performance management frameworks and contractual and national requirements
- Extensive knowledge of NHS business modelling
- Knowledge of NHS data standards and definitions
- In-depth experience of using complex data and information to produce intelligence and insight for business operations and continuous improvement
- Experience of providing in-depth business and performance management support to operational front line teams
- Ability to analyse, form a sound judgement and report on data and information
- Ability to identify interdependencies and recognise risk within activities
- Ability to work autonomously to agreed objectives and often stretching deadlines
- Good MS Power BI Desktop knowledge
