To provide technical and functional support for Oracle eBusiness Applications and Databases including installation, configuration, administration, patching, cloning, troubleshooting, performance tuning and system/security updates.

Support and Administer Oracle OCI cloud environments.
The above to be applied to Symatrix Client environments across OCI hosted platforms, on-premises, Cloud HCM, Oracle eBusiness Suite and Oracle Database Software installations.

Administer client on-premise and cloud-based Oracle eBusiness suite instances and Databases including associated WebLogic and Oracle Fusion Middleware services for multiple clients to ensure they remain current, backed-up, available, secure.
Build, install, configure, patch, clone, upgrade, migrate, tune and support Oracle eBusiness suite and database systems on linux & windows server platforms.
Maintain Application, Database and OS security through best practice and security updates.
Configuration and management of live/standby environments using Oracle Data Guard with experience of switching both application & databases to standby sites.
Backup and recovery using RMAN, hot and cold backups and application server backups.
Patch analysis / application for Oracle eBusiness suite and database, including bug fixes, quarterly CPU, annual legislation and maintenance RUP patches (Both application and database)
Design, Implement and manage environment housekeeping, purging and archiving strategies.
Managing DBA related SRs with Oracle support and third-party vendors.
Assisting in knowledge share / training where required.
Evaluate and implement approved new technologies, products and tools in the application development and production environments.
Manage relationship with customers to understand customer and project needs and priorities.
Work closely with service delivery teams, application development teams and users to provide service and issue resolution.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - Knowledge / Experience / Skills / Qualities:

~5 Years+ Recent Oracle eBusiness Suite dba experience (Essential)
~ Good Knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite 12.Good Knowledge of patching operating systems, ebs application & database within a OCI Cloud environment including via OCI console. (Good Knowledge of Oracle ebs practices including clone, patching, fault diagnosis and using latest ad maintenance utilities.
~ Good Knowledge of Oracle Database 11g and higher including multi-tenant architecture.
~ Good Knowledge of administration, patching and hardening Linux (OEL/RHEL 7 or higher) & Windows Server Operating systems.
~ Good Knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development and debugging.
~ Proficient in Oracle Cloud Platform administration and configuration including knowledge & hands on experience with Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN), Virtual Networks (VNICs), ACLs, Security Ruleset, VPN, Compute & Database Configuration.
~ Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c.
~ Knowledge of Python, Terraform, Ansible.
~ Knowledge of Backup and Recovery using RMAN both standalone and within OCI Cloud.
~ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose complex Database issues and implement effective solutions.
