Kiln And Biomass Operator Based Cargo, Carlisle – CA6 4BA Rotating shifts, 6-2 & 2-10 (Mon-Fri) Full-time / Permanent

In support of our continued and exciting growth, we are recruiting for a Kiln and Biomass Operator at our Carlisle mill. As an Operator, you will contribute towards the creation of quality timber products – on time and to specification.

• Operation of kiln chambers to dry timber to specification.
• Operate Biomass Boiler, to provide energy to power kilns.
• Operation of FLT mobile plant.
• Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.
• Working towards set production targets.
• Manual handling of timber.

We are seeking motivated individuals who are quality focused and understand the value of the goods they are producing. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximized, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. In addition, you will have:

• Appreciation of Quality and Health & Safety.
• Good computer, numeracy, and literacy skills.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• FLT mobile plant vehicles would be advantageous.
• The successful candidate must hold afull Driving Licence.
• Operation of a Steam or hot water boiler would also be advantageous.

In both cases full training in line with any legislation will be given.
