Kiln Operator

**Kiln And Biomass Operator**:
**Based Cargo, Carlisle - CA6 4BA**:
**Rotating shifts, 6-2 & 2-10 (Mon-Fri)**:
**Full-time / Permanent**:
In support of our continued and exciting growth, we are recruiting for a Kiln and Biomass Operator at our Carlisle mill. As an Operator, you will contribute towards the creation of quality timber products - on time and to specification.

**_Specifically, some responsibilities of a Kiln and Biomass Operator include: _**:

- Operation of kiln chambers to dry timber to specification.
- Operate Biomass Boiler, to provide energy to power kilns.
- Operation of FLT mobile plant.
- Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.
- Working towards set production targets.
- Manual handling of timber.

**_About you:_**:
We are seeking motivated individuals who are quality focused and understand the value of the goods they are producing. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximized, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. In addition, you will have:

- Appreciation of Quality and Health & Safety.
- Good computer, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

**_Experience of:_**:

- FLT mobile plant vehicles would be advantageous.
- Operation of a Steam or hot water boiler would also be advantageous.

In both cases full training in line with any legislation will be given.
