Job Description:

Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager on behalf of a leading food manufacturer, The HSE Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management on-site. This includes developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, systems, and strategies that ensure compliance with legal and industry standards while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.

Key Deliverables

  • Health & Safety: Reduced accident rates, improved compliance, and successful safety audits.
  • Environmental: Achieve sustainability targets, including waste reduction and energy efficiency.
  • Team Development: A fully trained and engaged workforce aligned with safety and environmental goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience leading HSE functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Environmental Certificate).
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing and implementing HSE policies and training programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent advanced qualifications.
  • Membership of IOSH or similar professional body.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques.
