To work autonomously as a member of the multi-professional team supporting patients in the Short Stay Hub Care Home beds for the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
~ To provide an Physiotherapy (PT) service to Short Stay Hub bed patients underpinned by theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.
~ To provide PT in the acute hospital setting as required by the Short Stay Hub Matron
~ To support Therapy Assistants to manage the rehabilitation and reablement of patients.
~ To assist the Short Stay Hub Matron in providing leadership, guidance, supervision and development for junior staff, unregistered staff and students.
~ To provide appropriate and timely specific Occupational Therapy reports and other patient related correspondence according to the quality standards of the service and COT Professional Standards.
~ To work closely with associated specialities within the hospital and community.
~ To participate in training and academic workshops within the multi-disciplinary team.
~ To develop research projects and audits to ensure evidence based practice within the Therapy service.
Planning and Organisational Skills
~ To plan and deliver in-service training, study days etc.
~ Be a link person, as designated by the professional lead, for activities such as student placements for the site, specialist interest group, etc.

Analyses, synthesizes and presents knowledge and information about complex subjects and concepts to contribute to key decisions within the MDT.
Records all necessary information in line with established professional standards and ensures use the Data Protection Act in accordance with local policies and Occupational Therapy specifications.
To educate others both formally and informally about Physiotherapy and positively promote the PT profile.
Obtains and presents complex information to students and colleagues in an accessible manner.
