Children’s Registered Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our children’s home. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of care and ensuring compliance with the Children’s Home Regulations and Care Standards 2015, as regulated by Ofsted.

Regulatory Compliance: Maintain registration standards as laid down in the Children’s Home Regulations and Care Standards 2015.

* Child-Centered Services: Ensure services and support are provided in a child-centered way, as part of the therapeutic community practice framework.

* Therapeutic Community Promotion: Promote the therapeutic community within the home, supporting both children and staff members.

* Staff Recruitment and Supervision: Responsible for the safer recruitment of staff and their supervision and appraisals in line with regulations and the home’s SOP.

* Contribute to individual staff development through personal development plans, in-house training programs, and external training.

* Rota Management: Implement a rota system that ensures the most effective use of staff to support the needs of the children.

* Actively promote and maintain close working partnerships with parents/carers and other significant people in the lives of children.

* Care Plans: Ensure staff are familiar with and adhere to the care plans agreed for the children.

* Positive Image: Promote a positive image of the home by creating an environment that reflects the vision of Therapeutic Communities.

* Professional Development: Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities, and support staff in their development and training.

* Undertake other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job.

Relevant Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.

* Significant experience in a leadership role within a children’s social care setting.
