Systems Support Administrator

Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid (1 day a week in the office, with 3 days a week in-office during the initial months)

Salary: £30,000 + up to 10% bonus

The Role

As a Systems Support Administrator , you’ll play a vital role in supporting two core business systems critical to the organisation’s operations. These systems, which function similarly to large-scale Finance, HR, ERP, or CRM systems, underpin the company’s day-to-day activities.

You’ll join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining, improving, and administering these systems. Your responsibilities will include handling helpdesk queries raised through ServiceNow and providing expert assistance to users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing application support and resolving system issues.
  • Managing system changes, updates, and routine housekeeping tasks.
  • Assisting with invoice management and processing.
  • Administering new joiners, movers, and leavers.
  • Performing general system administration tasks.
  • Generating reports and producing data insights.
  • Raising and processing transactions efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

While this isn’t a traditional IT support or business analysis role, it requires a blend of technical aptitude and business system expertise.

  • Desired Skills & Experience:Experience: Ideally, 1+ years in application or business support, supporting critical business systems.
  • Ticketing Systems: Experience with ServiceNow is highly desirable.
  • Industry Background: Experience in insurance, finance, or other regulated sectors is advantageous but not essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with BI tools, MI analysis, or SQL is a plus.
  • Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving issues.

Your Role in the Team

  • Investigating, analysing, and prioritising incidents and service requests through service Now. (or a similar ticketing system)
  • Resolving issues promptly while ensuring clear communication with relevant stakeholders, including the Business Systems Support Manager and IS Systems Manager.
  • Performing routine and ad-hoc system housekeeping tasks to ensure seamless operations.
