Your new role
Your new job as a qualified English teacher is to educate and inspire students in KS3 and KS4. High quality lesson plans must be engaging to match an inclusive curriculum within the school. Whether newly qualified or experienced, you will need to be confident in delivering lessons to students of mixed abilities, with good communication, team work, and organisational skills. You will be responsible for marking work, with constructive feedback given, and a thorough understanding of curriculum material must be held.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified English teacher, with recent secondary school teaching experience and the ability to provide references. To be successful in this role, you will need to feel confident in delivering lesson plans to KS3 and KS4 students, and will have full teaching responsibilities. Additionally, you’ll need the ability to manage groups of 20–30 students and effectively handle challenging behaviour. A team-oriented attitude and the ability to build positive relationships are also essential.
