The role as a Child Mental Health Assistant:

* Your main duty and role will be to support the students in the classroom.
* The support you provide will be either in a small group setting or 1 to 1.
* Your priority will be to ensure that these children have a warm and safe environment to come to everyday so that learning can take place.
* You will be supported by the class teacher and also have the advantage of being exposed to a multi-disciplinary team.
* Those with backgrounds in sports, art or drama are encouraged to apply.

The successful Child Mental Health Assistant:

* Will be calm, passionate about making a difference and positive
* Will have some experience working with children
* Will understand the importance of safeguarding
* Will have a DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one
