Brief Description
Are you ready to innovate and deliver for the Rail Freight sector? We're on the lookout for a visionary like you to lead the charge in identifying and cultivating new opportunities for modal shift that align with the Government's ambitious new rail freight growth target.
About the role (External)
What does the average day look like?
Hit commercial development targets set by our Head of Business Development.
Build strong client relationships for seamless project delivery.
Craft strategies to tap into third-party funding sources.
Provide top-notch market intelligence in the Rail Freight arena.
Identify future opportunities and secure funding for their development.
Collaborate with our regional teams on strategic bid processes.
Engage potential clients to secure external funding.
Forge strategic alliances with industry players for future ventures.
Provide expert advice to exploit market opportunities.
Uphold quality standards in market intelligence management.
Person Specification / Essential Criteria
• Qualified to degree level or equivalent
• First class customer relationship management at senior level
• Excellent influencing skills
• Proven senior management & leadership experience
Desirable
• Previous experience of rail freight service delivery and/or operations
• Experience in the design and delivery of new rail freight services and / or facilities
• Previous ownership & implementation of marketing strategies in the logistics sector
• Knowledge of Project Management techniques
