Role: Electrical Technician

Salary: £29k to £39k

Location: Northampton

I am seeking a skilled electrical technician to join my clients global EV company. You will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining automotive electrical systems and components based on technical drawings and specifications whilst also having a pivotal role in conducting regular inspections and tests to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Produce wiring harness assemblies and sensors according to specified drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with other department members on assigned projects.
  • Identify and report any production issues to the department supervisor.
  • Stay fully informed of and comply with Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide efficient and professional services to both internal and external customers.
  • Deliver electronic services that reflect the company’s professional and expert capabilities.
  • Resolve internal and external issues in a fair and ethical manner, always safeguarding the company's best interests.
  • Minimize wastage by sourcing only the necessary materials.
  • Monitor expenditure and stay within agreed limits.
  • Minimize project delivery costs while maximizing financial gain without compromising company objectives.
  • Recommend new and appropriate technology to enhance the capabilities of the Electronics department.
  • Operate in alignment with the company’s values and ensure effective communication within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3 Years experience in harness building using the Raychem System 25 fully jacketed, moulded transitions, service loops, Deutsch Auto sport connectors
  • HNC in Electronics Engineering
  • Building Complex 1500 point, full automotive chassis sized Wiring Harnesses to an engineering drawing
  • Fault finding of Wiring Harnesses
  • Fault finding on car electrical issues
  • Testing of Wiring Harnesses
