  • Have you a passion for helping our Young Carers to have better outcomes? At our evening sessions (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) you will help organise the activities.
  • The sessions run from 5.30 until 7.30 every week, with other staff and volunteers.
  • Each session is planned by the Young Carers Manager with certain activities. The Young Carers help develop the programme of activities.
  • The Young Carers range from 8 to 16 years old.
  • We are looking for 2 members of staff to lead 2 sessions each per week.
  • Sessions run from the White House in Benfleet, at a community centre in Rochford or Church in Basildon.

Responsibilities

  • To assist the Young Carers Manager in delivering the sessions
  • To ensure that all the young carers are engaged in the activities
  • To provide individualised support to the young carers as needed
  • Other duties to ensure the success of the sessions
Qualifications
  • Have empathy and understanding of the pressures faced by young carers
  • Be able to lead sessions coordinating staff, volunteers and young carers of different ages
  • Full driving licence and vehicle
  • Good IT skills to record information on the Charity database
  • Great communications skills
  • Great working environment
