Job Description:

Are you an experienced Organisational Development or Learning and Development professional looking for your next role? We are looking for an OD Manager to join our team on a fixed-term basis until 31st March 2025.

It is an exciting time to be part of the OD team at Devon Partnership Trust, we have a number of initiatives underway to make DPT a great place to work including our Compassionate Leadership Programme, Foundations of Management, Team Development activities and our new Career Conversations approach to individual development. We are passionate about employee engagement and building psychologically safe working environments and are committed to championing good health, inclusivity, civility and respect.

The OD Manager will oversee the continued delivery of our established programmes in addition to supporting our internal coaching network and acting as a coach and mentor to the OD Practitioner.

The role-holder will be a experienced in both in-person and online delivery and confident in supporting teams and individuals to achieve their best.

This is a flexible role of 30 hours per week (0.8) which will include home-based working and regular travel to sites across Exeter and Devon.

This is a fixed term opportunity until 31st March 2025

Main duties of the job

Build and maintain strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to enable delivery of organisational development activities.

Act as a champion and role model for compassionate and inclusive leadership culture, providing expertise and support so others can build these skills and behaviours.

Continued implementation of the OD Strategic Delivery plan

Support the OD practitioner in the delivery of leadership and management development programmes, acting as a coach and mentor.

Provide leadership and management support and advice to colleagues across the organisation and work across teams to improve communication and support them through change.

Support the development of a coaching culture

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level and/or with a diploma in HR Management/ OD
  • Post-graduate qualification in either a specialist HR field or Leadership to masters level or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Qualified in Psychometric testing e.g. Insights Discovery
  • Coaching Qualification to a minimum of ILM 7
  • Project Management
  • Coach Supervisor
Experience
  • Extensive experience of working with different staff groups either through an HR advisory role or as a line or project manager.
  • Experience of managing change within the workplace.
  • Experience of providing advice and support to staff and managers, where persuasion and tact need to be used.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training
  • Experience of presenting to groups
  • Experience of delivering OD intervention
  • Experience of managing projects successfully
