An opportunity for an ambitious Project Quantity Surveyor has become available working for an established Profesional Quantity Surveying (PQS) practice that operate across Kent and Sussex.
The company operate work with a number of clients in the civil engineering sector, they are well placed to offer thesuccessful candidate career development and support through to achieving Chartered Status as well as training to accredited Project Management level to QS's wishing to pursue that career path.
This is a hybrid working role with 2-3 days per week expected in the office or on site in the Kent or Sussex area.

The Role
  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager the Project Quantity Surveyor will work on a number of above ground Infrastructure projects including service reservoirs, pumping stations and water treatment works .
  • Responsibilities will include assisting with budget and cashflow management of circa £35M per annum
  • Analysing data to produce accurate cost reports
  • Understanding contractors works planning and resource deployment methods to identify and correct inefficiencies.
  • Carrying out defined cost audit work.
  • Management of contractors supply chains and procurement

Experience Required
  • Suitable applicants will be educated to BSc Quantity Surveying and will be able to demonstrate relevant experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure or utility schemes.
  • A good understanding of NEC / ECC contracts is essential
  • A proven track record in driving commercial efficiencies
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to build and nurture lasting relationships with stakeholders
  • This role is open to Quantity Surveyors with experience working for either PQS, Consultancy or Contractors.
