Security Officer/ Relief Officer

This is a pivotal role reporting into the security department responsible for ensuring a safe working environment across our Loughborough sites and supporting our Clitheroe site remotely.
You will be key in protecting the security of the sites and monitoring the grounds to prevent theft, violence, or other company losses, including inspection of emergency response systems.
Maintain a safe and secure environment by touring the premises, monitoring grounds via surveillance equipment.
Inspect emergency response equipment (i.e. spill cabinets, fire extinguishers, AEDs, fire suppression systems, etc.) and audit facility equipment.
Distribution of chemicals and products between sites.
Promoting security by being alert to observe, correct, and/or report any hazards.
Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and crisis management plan response.
Responds to security breaches, prepare reports to detail incident/accident.
Full UK Driving licence is essential.
ADR licence is desirable.
CCTV Licence is preferable.
SIA licence in manned guarding and public space surveillance is preferable.
Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Enthusiastic, flexible, conscientious and proactive in approach.

Working Hours: Onsite - 12-hour shifts which are 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00 - average 42 hours per week
Working Shift Pattern: Continental Shift 4 on | 4 off (days and nights).
