Position overview:

We seek an exceptional leader to join our senior leadership team and lead Karanga Mai – Young Parents’ College. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, teaching, and management experience, particularly in supporting young parents and their children.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the college, ensuring alignment with our vision and values.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, development, and appraisals.
  • Manage the college’s financial operations, including budgeting and funding applications.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, staff, whānau, and the wider community.
  • Provide direct teaching in a specialty subject area (7–10 hours per week).
  • Advocate for students and liaise with community services to support their needs.
