Do you thrive on providing personalised, one-to-one support to help students reach their full potential? If so, we want YOU to join our team as an SEN Tutor Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking skilled and compassionate individuals to provide tailored intervention to pupils with Special Educational Needs in Thanet. As an SEN Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who are not currently attending a named school provision, in alignment with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and any other relevant supporting documentation. The role is ongoing, with the possibility of tutoring a range of students on an ongoing basis, or until a suitable full-time provision is sourced. The role provides you with the opportunity to be flexible in your working hours - part-time or full time are both considered Key Responsibilities - SEN Tutor:
- Delivering tailored one-to-one intervention sessions to students with SEN, achieving key educational and personal development targets.
- Fostering academic growth and personal development based on individual needs and goals.
- Implementing strategies and techniques to support learning and overcome challenges.
- Collaborating with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each student.
- Maintaining accurate records of progress and feedback to track student development & attendance.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, preferably in an educational setting.
- Understanding of EHCPs and the ability to implement interventions in line with specific needs and targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the unique needs of individuals with SEN.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), an alternative equivalent qualification, or training in Special Education Needs is desirable but not essential.
