Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days
Our client, a lead in the nuclear industry is recruiting for a Fuel Route Maintenance Planner to joint their team based in Heysham. This key position will support the Management of Work process with in the Fuel Route department with the production of workweek plans that deliver high levels of Nuclear Safety by maximising the plant availability.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
- As a minimum, you will have a relevant HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Ideally, the applicant will have a good broad knowledge of nuclear power plant or have an industrial background with experience in a maintenance or operations environment.
- Project/Project planning experience is advantageous.
- Ideally, the applicant will have experience in basic planning principles including common planning software and tools including Microsoft Project and Asset Management Suite (AMS).
Role information:
- Produce plans that ensure Site Licence Conditions, Statutory Regulatory and Compliance requirements are fulfilled and not compromised.
- Optimise Fuel Route Maintenance windows in alignment with the station Fuel strip and build plans and emergent work, to ensure that Nuclear and Operational Risk is minimised.
- Plan activities to support the focus areas of Equipment Reliability, Operational Focus and Fire Safety.
- Produce and manage operational risk neutral workweek plans, using appropriate software tools.
- Continuously challenging station Fuel Route standards by demonstrating a 'can-do' attitude to drive improvements in defect management.
- Provide appropriate support to ensure delivery of Fuel Route Department and Station Business Plan objectives.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills while liaising with the Fuel Route maintenance team and Fuel route operational planners as well as other relevant stakeholders to promote engagement with the Fuel Route maintenance plan.
