The Role:
The Project Planner is responsible for meeting critical objectives by overseeing and implementing effective project planning within their sector or team. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop, deploy, and manage the Primavera Integrated Plan Network. Additionally, the Project Planner upholds and enforces the company's standards for Planning and Scheduling.
So, what will you be doing as a Project Controller?
- Evaluate ongoing progress and performance, comparing them against contractual and internal goals to identify variance and its underlying causes.
- Generate reports and suggest actions to maintain or enhance progress.
- Develop and implement the overall project schedule for the sector or project, ensuring compliance with company standards and its continued maintenance.
- Enhance planning skills within the project team by providing coaching to members from engineering, production, and project management on best practices in planning and scheduling.
- Consolidate all work package plans into a unified network that meets company standards, and oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of the project's performance measurement baseline.
- Assist work package teams in updating their plans on a monthly basis.
- Create, distribute, and report on project schedule data as needed, offering solutions for conflicts and recommending corrective actions.
- Administer the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology as required.
- Lead the Project Critical Path Analysis process, ensuring it aligns with company standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers and the wider team to effectively implement the company's project control standards, systems, and methods, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project performance data.
What are we looking for in our next Project Controller?
- Extensive expertise in Primavera P6, SAP PS, and standard industry software applications, particularly spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills, effective in collaborating within large, multidisciplinary teams across various areas, including engineering, finance, commercial, and project management.
- Keen interest in working within a multicultural, pan-European environment.
- Proven experience in commercial and financial management.
- A proactive team player who can motivate others, assertive with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
