Environmental Engineer

We have an opportunity for an Environmental Engineer to join Boeing Defence United Kingdom. You will Work within a large System Safety and Environmental Engineering team and learning to undertake all aspects of environmental management activities in support of aerospace platforms, complex systems and supporting equipment as the need arises.
Learn to develop Environmental Cases and associated documentation in accordance with Defence Standard 00-051 for modifications to UK aerospace platforms, systems and supporting equipment.
Learn how to craft Environmental Management strategies appropriate to each project or programme resulting in a cogent Environmental Case which shall include the following, as the need arises by the project or programme-specific Environmental Management Plan or Strategy:
Development of Environmental Management Plans.
Develop a register of relevant Environmental Management standards.
Identification of Environmental Management stakeholders.
Produce Environmental Impact Screening and Scoping Statements.
Derivation of Environmental Management design requirements.
Development of Environmental Case Reports.
Opportunity to liaise with other Boeing, Customer and Supplier technical disciplines, when appropriate, to capture evidence to support the Environmental Case.
Support the preparation for customer environmental meetings and working groups.
Assist in programme planning and support for environmental activities.
Identify risks, issues and opportunities and support the development of mitigation plans.
Assist under general supervision, the development, maintenance, review and update of environmental management process.
Some UK and US travel is expected.
Knowledge of Defence Standard 00-051 or other environmental standards.
