Key Responsibilities:

As an Apprentice Controls Engineer, you will work closely with seasoned professionals to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining building control systems.

Honeywell will provide you with the college courses alongside a competitive salary, with annual uplifts, and competitive benefits.

The course is exclusive to Honeywell and supplied by Stevenson College. Honeywell will provide:

ü Your accommodation at Leonardo's Hotel, (4* with swimming pool, meeting rooms to work with your colleagues, bars, a Marco Pierre White restaurant, Wi-Fi, and plush rooms)

ü Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

ü Transportation during your study days

You'll gain the below nationally recognised qualification:

• MOET Level 3 - Engineering

When you're not in college, (during working hours), you'll gain hands on experience on site in:

• Learning and assisting in the design and implementation of Honeywell building control systems.

• Supporting system integration, testing, and commissioning activities under the guidance of experienced engineers.

• Collaborating with the project team to understand customer requirements and contribute to system solutions.

• Assisting in troubleshooting and providing technical support for control systems during installation and post-installation phases.

• Gaining proficiency in ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.

• Contributing to the development and maintenance of documentation related to control system designs and configurations.

• Engaging with clients to understand their needs and contribute ideas for enhancements or upgrades to existing systems.

Key requirements:

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join us, people who are looking for an exciting career rather than just a job.

• Interest in controls engineering, building automation, or a related discipline.

• Effective communication skills to interact with team members, mentors, and project stakeholders.

• Strong GCSE's, such as Maths GCSE - B (5) English - C (4)

• Please note that degree holders are not eligible for this role

Your Future:

Successful apprentices will be offered the role of Controls Engineer.

Controls Engineers are initially involved with designing the building energy management system that controls the building services (e.g. heating, air conditioning, renewables). They also write related software and graphics as well as installing and commissioning such systems. Another key area is connecting and integrating with other building systems (e.g. security) to create 'Smart Buildings'. After the building is occupied and being used, they may also be involved in servicing & maintenance, fault finding if there are problems with the system and energy performance reviews.

Our offer:

• A culture that fosters inclusion, diversity, and innovation in an international work environment

• Experienced leaders to support your professional development

• Comprehensive training and mentorship program

• Exposure to cutting-edge building control technologies

• Career development opportunities within the Honeywell organization
