I have partnered with a global client who is a private equity laboratory equipment and consumables company looking to add a new person to their sales team in the North of England, including Scotland and Northern Ireland

This is an opportunity where you would be maintaining, managing, training and developing the current distribution network, as well as, finding new partners.

You will be responsible for indirect sales meaning that you will drive saless and collaborate closely with new and existing channel partners. This includes working with and training the sales teams on the portfolio, negotiating pricing and strategically growing the accounts. My client has an excellent reputation for quality consumables and equipment going into the science industry, so it is important that whoever comes into this brand has product knowledge and experience in the territory.

This position is looking for an excellent sales person who is resilient when sales can be demanding as it requires the post holder to achieve set goals within fixed deadlines in a competitive marketplace.

Your background should look like:

  • Education – Degree Level Qualification (BSc) in a life science related science/engineer degree but will consider someone who has extensive sales skills and experience gained within sciences.
  • 5 - 10+ years’ experience in sales, business/business development or other commercial roles involving customer interface
  • Preference would be additional 4-5 years’ experience selling consumables and equipment directly to Academia Pharma, Biotech/Biopharma, customers.
  • Evidenced experience of hitting and overachieving targets.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of sales techniques using effective questioning and objection handling.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office suite and utilise of CRM systems on a day-to-day basis.
  • command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • eye for detail, time management & interpersonal skills
