Role Overview: As the Head of Physics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the Physics department. You will lead a team of dedicated teachers, fostering a culture of innovation and academic rigor. Lead and manage the Physics department, providing strategic direction and support to staff.
Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Physics curriculum that aligns with the school's objectives.
Mentor and support departmental staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Oversee the organization of extracurricular activities and educational trips related to Physics.
Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to whole–school initiatives and development plans.
Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a degree in Physics or related field.
Proven experience teaching Physics at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to fostering positive relationships within the school community.
A passion for Physics education and a desire to instill a love of learning in students.
