Role Overview:The Environmental and Sustainability Manager will spearhead the company’s environmental and sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, lead innovative programmes, and foster a culture of sustainability. Craft and execute environmental and sustainability strategies, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Programme Management: Lead and manage initiatives, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators.
Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, preparing reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and engage with external stakeholders to enhance sustainability efforts.
Training and Education: Develop training programmes to educate employees on sustainability practices.
Attributes and Qualities:
Passion for Sustainability: Genuine commitment to environmental stewardship.
Meticulous in monitoring and reporting.
Capable of managing multiple projects.
Determined in pursuing sustainability goals.
Educational and Professional Development: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in environmental and sustainability management in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of relevant environmental regulations.
Proven track record in successful programme implementation.
Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
Certification in sustainability (e.g., Awareness of quality systems such as AS9100 and IATF16949 is beneficial.
