The Neuroradiology department at UCLH Queen Square Division is seeking a highly experienced diagnostic radiographer to manage rapid expansion of the department. This newly-created post will be responsible for managing general radiography, mobile x-ray, theatre imaging, and pain clinic imaging. The post holder will be responsible for equipment and asset management, capital project management, service development, quality assurance, clinical audit, radiation protection (RPS training can be provided), radiographer recruitment, training and line management.
During clinical time, the post-holder will work as a specialist diagnostic practitioner in Radiology and be responsible for a variable caseload of patients. Patients will present with a full range of complex conditions and the post holder will be responsible for carrying out the appropriate diagnostic procedures to support the diagnosis of complex conditions and clinical training of radiographers.

- University College Hospital (incorporating the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing)

- University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre
- The Hospital for Tropical Diseases
- University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street

- DCR , BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
- HCPC State Registration
- Good standard of general education
- Relevant highly developed specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate study/Masters degree and/or relevant experience
- Evidence of experience of line management of radiographers
- Highly specialized radiographic experience
- Total responsibility for a given area or process
- Proven clinical, managerial and teaching skills
- Experience in departmental administration
- Knowledge of legislation and policies pertaining to radiography
- Experience of Neuroradiography or attainable within 6 months
- Knowledge of Project Management processes
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Substantial people management skills including change management and negotiation for service delivery complex information
- Ability to support development of staff
