You will work closely with a team to create a calm yet secure environment for young people to thrive. While giving them life skills to manage daily life. This on occasions means supporting Children through challenges. This role covers a 2 week rolling rota – which boasts the benefit of being able to plan your home life in advance. Your Duties: Responsible to the Senior Support Worker / Registered Manager You will be responsible for the daily activities within the home which could include (but not limited to) school runs, offering breakfast, helping with social needs, attending medical appointments. Creating a loving and warm environment to support vulnerable children to thrive. Your Skills: Ideally you will have a level 3 qualification, or equivalent. If you are willing to work towards this, the company will support you to achieve this. Experience of supporting vulnerable children is advantageous however being personable and able to communicate effectively is just as important. A key skill is to deal with challenging situations in a calm manner. Having resilience and a positive attitude are vital. Being flexible in your approach is key and changing routines at short notice.
